Tomas Maier does nothing on a whim. The German designer, who veered into edgier style turf last season, continued in a similar vein for spring with a rugged lineup that oozed confidence.
"The collection is about performance and possibility," Maier said. He opened with creamy, rumpled patchwork jackets, which he paired over white trousers in ultra-subtle Prince of Wales, micro checks and striped motifs.
The collection took an active, technical turn with sporty blousons – some with mesh linings or panels - equipped with drawstrings, utility pockets, zippers and cinchers.
A sumptuous palette of hunter greens, Venetian reds and Persian blue infused tailored shirt-like jacket and rolled-up trousers. It was all calm, cool and collected.
